Complete Career Center Helps Plankinton Cornell Employees
BODY:
Complete Career Center met with the laid off employees of Cornell Companies in Plankinton today at 3 pm.
Complete Career Center will assist these individuals in finding suitable employment in their field. CCC reps that were on site discussed with these employees various positions that are available throughout the region currently; as well as other options available to them.
Complete Career Center’s Mitchell and Sioux Falls locations have been working this week to contact various companies throughout the Midwest to secure positions for the approximately 60 persons affected by Cornell’s closing. Approximately 30 employees were laid off today and another 30 were told this week not to report to their first day of work. Complete Career Center has already begun placing the individuals in full time positions and expects to be able to help a large percentage of the employees gain employment in their field, quickly.
Connie Schroeder, owner of Complete Career Center, stated, “We understand that these are difficult times for the people affected. Because I grew up in Plankinton and had family members who have worked at the school in the past, I know several of the affected employees. We are working incredibly hard to do everything we can to get the employees back to work as soon as possible.”
Complete Career Center is a locally owned private employment placement agency with offices in Mitchell and Sioux Falls.
