Job title: ASSISTANT BREED MANAGER
Location: Eastern South Dakota
Description: A local swine operation is looking for an Assistant Breed Manager for their 4000 sow operation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced swine person! Experience in the industry would be nice but if you are hard working, willing to learn, and looking for a new career, they will train the right person. This facility has an employee lounge. All employees are required to shower in and shower out of the facility. Coveralls and footwear are provided. Laundry, shower facilities, and lockers are provided. Possible housing is available as well. Responsibilities include Heat detection, Artificial Insemination, Moving sows throughout the facility, Partial exposure to farrowing facility, Vaccination and general sow herd health
Requirements: Must be mechanically inclined, Dependable, Great work ethic, Valid driver’s license
Hours: Fulltime 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Work every other weekend (weekends off are 3 day weekends, Fri. Sat-Sun. ), Work every other holiday
Salary: D.O.E. $20,000 + Commission
Benefits: Paid holidays (7 of them), Paid vacation: 7 days the 1st year, 12 days after the first year, Monthly incentive paid every month.
